FSA Embarks On Virtual Training

The whole world has been hit severely by the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Bangladesh is no exception to it. Bangladesh faces serious challenges socially and economically in combating COVID-19 disease. The public and private organizations, financial institutions and other entities are continuing their activities in a limited manner following social distancing and regulations prescribed by the government to stop the spread of the disease. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh and its affiliated organizations like Foreign Service Academy (FSA) are also continuing their activities during this time.

Foreign Service Academy, Bangladesh in its endeavors of imparting training and skills to its regular trainee officers, has embarked on virtual sessions using the internet and other digital facilities since April 2020. The virtual training program was inaugurated by Amb. Masud Bin Momen, Foreign Secretary in the manner of conducting an online session on Bangladesh’s foreign policy imperatives in Covid 19 – time. The Academy has pooled together its regular and invited resource- persons to conduct such online sessions for its trainee diplomats of the 25 th Specialized Diplomatic Training Course (SDTC) that started in December last year. It now hosts 10 -15 sessions per week.

The Academy is committed to complete all on-going training programs within the scheduled period.
