Profile

Ambassador Asad Alam Siam joined the diplomatic service in 1995. Before joining the service, he worked in a research project with renowned economist Dr. Atiur Rahman. A graduate in Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Amb. Siam did his post-graduation in Business from Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands.

In his long diplomatic career, Amb. Siam served in the Offices of Foreign Minister, Foreign Secretary, Europe and EU wing, and as Chief of Protocol in the HQs. He also served in Bangladesh Missions in Bangkok, Jakarta, and Manchester. He was Bangladesh’s Consul General in Milan, Italy, and Ambassador to the Philippines, and Palau. He now serves as Inspector General of Missions in the HQs and also as the Rector of the Foreign Service Academy.
