
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs inaugurated a two-week-long orientation course for officers to be posted to Labour Wings in Bangladesh Missions abroad
Foreign Service Academy has organized a two week long Orientation Course for Officers to be posted to Labor Wings in Bangladesh Missions abroad. Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam, MP inaugurated the program as the Chief Guest on 01 November 2020 at the newly built academic building of Foreign Service Academy. Rector of the Academy Amb. Syed Masud Mahmood Khundoker, Additional Foreign Secretaries of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Faculty Members of the Academy were also present during the event. The orientation course aims to enable the participant to learn about a wide range of issues including Bangladesh Foreign Policy, Diplomatic Norms, Protocol and Etiquettes, Contemporary International Issues, Opportunities and Challenges faced in Bangladesh Missions abroad with regard to Mission Administration, Financial issues as well as Labour and Expatriates’ Welfare issues and so on. The orientation course will end on 12 November. Hon’ble Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, MP is expected to grace the certificate awarding ceremony on that day.
