Respected Reader,

Welcome to the website of Foreign Service Academy (FSA), Bangladesh. The Academy is housed in the historic building popularly known as “Sugandha” where the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had his first office as Prime Minister

As Bangladesh’s premier diplomacy and foreign affairs training institute, FSA is dedicated to ensuring the career-long learning opportunities for Bangladesh foreign service cadre. Besides, the Academy renders training and orientation briefings to officers from other cadres who are selected for certain posts in Bangladesh missions abroad such as labour wing, commercial wing, etc

The Academy is also engaged with other government training institutes / academies for the purpose of briefing on foreign affairs matters and rendering negotiation skills to government officials of their cadres.

The Academy aims to become an international centre of excellence for global studies on peace, security and development. It believes that regional and global cooperation be strengthened to this end, and that cooperation among similar institutions particularly be accelerated as an important imperative.

Furthermore, FSA conducts short courses for foreign diplomats and is willing to sign . MoUs with similar diplomatic institutes in order to learn the best diplomatic practices across the globe and share its own. The Academy, under cooperation arrangements, has exchange programmes with a host of similar well-known diplomatic institutes of foreign countries.

We hope, the FSA website would be useful to our valued readers and well-wishers. The website is meant to provide them some basic information on Who we are, What we do, How we do and What we aim to.

We would sincerely welcome any well-thought and constructive opinion, for, we believe, it would help us improve our services and competences.
